Crafty Lady...

So, I've been brainstorming ~ and storming the web ~ for ideas on how to start a little girls boutique and what unique items I could make at home. Some really neat ideas I came across were two different types of bow/hair clip/ barrette organizers. So, I built upon what I saw and tried to make my own interpretation of such cute crafts. I wouldn't call them 'prototypes', but the following photos show a quick version of what I have in mind. And, as long as you don't turn them over to their reverse side (which is a complete mess!), I am semi-pleased at how they came out. With both projects, you simply clip your barrettes onto the ribbons. No more mess, no more misplacing matching pairs, and you can display them in a fun way!

11x13" Holder

40" Holder

The ballerina-style holder is one I LOVE! It was a lot of fun to make (albeit tedious since I'm still pretty clueless when it comes to operating my sewing machine...everything is hand-sewn). I am currently working on another, smaller version in black-and-white zebra print with hot pink accents. I'm trying to figure out the best, most attractive way to construct it so it is taking much (much!) longer to put it together.
Anyhow, just wanted to share!
