Whew...
42 days until C-section day!
28 days until we move into our new apartment!
Trying to pack, trying to clean, all while trying to NOT overdo it. I am glad I did quite a bit of packing up last month, because my energy is already starting to go down hill. We're going to sell/donate/throw away most of our belongings since most of what we own just sits around in boxes and/or collects dust. I even have most of mine and Calum's hospital bag packed! I did it for two reasons: 1. You never know when you're going to need it, as fetuses (I had to look up the plural form of 'fetus') don't adhere to schedules very well and 2. I would have ended up accidentally packing away the things we need to bring to the hospital and then have to go digging through a zillion boxes to find them.
Anyhow, I'm excited! I'm ready to move, ready to meet Calum (ready to have his feet out of my lungs!), ready to introduce Maddie to big-sisterhood...ready for change! Ready for chaos and more sleep deprivation (?). Mad was so cute yesterday, asking to feel my tummy when she saw it moving. She put her hand on me and I told her that Brother had hiccups. She said, "Baby Calum has hiccups? That's my baby brother!" I'm trying to get her ready for a few things, mainly to get her used to the idea that babies cry. A lot. She knows what building the hospital is (which she calls, " The Hobstible") and that the doctors will help Calum get out of mommy's tummy. I think she's gaining a better understanding that we will be bringing a new baby into the house and I'm trying to get her super-excited about how she will always get to be the big sister. She seems to dig it for now. I just hope she likes Brother just as much once he gets here...
