Spring Is In the Air

What a beautiful weekend! The weather was gorgeous and Maddie finally stopped running a fever, so we headed to Galveston for the afternoon. She's been sick (again) so she is acting out a bit (ok, a LOT), but it was nice for the three of us to get out of the house. We went to Olympia Grill for some yummy Greek food (oh, how I've missed them!) and spent a while on the beach, watching Maddie find sea shells. She was so excited to look for them! She could hardly wait to get there. The whole ride down, she kept saying that she was going to the beach to find sea shells. She even got to see several dogs, sea gulls, fishermen on the pier, and sand castles (she was extremely pleased with the castles). After collecting shells, she decided it would be fun to throw as much sand as possible on mommy & daddy. I thought it was hilarious; she was so serious, so intent on what she was doing. How fun it is to be so young! We ended the trip with a chocolate shake and a quick hop in the tub...she just about had more sand on her little butt than there was on the beach!
I love days like these.
And I'll upload my photos tomorrow...I'm starting to get to the insomnia part of pregnancy and I am excruciatingly tired.
