The Bunny is a hit! She liked him last year, but this year it was almost fanatical. She could hardly wait to get there. When we finally found the end of the mall where he was set up (which, by the way, was on the complete opposite end from where I parked ~ of course), she kept trying to cut in front of the other kids who were in line to get their photos taken with the giant fuzzball. She was waving and smiling at him from the gate and, once we were let in for our turn, she stood there, staring at him, just completely tickled. After getting a great shot, it was time to go. Cue: giant tantrum in the middle of the mall. She screamed theee whole way back to the car (remember that I parked a million miles away?) She did stop for a second when we started to pass Build-A-Bear, but cried even harder when I told her we couldn't get anything there. I can't afford a $50 teddy bear on a whim. She was so upset that she screamed, "NO!" when I asked her if she wanted to stop somewhere and get a cookie. It took a minute before she realized her mistake and sobbed that, yes, she wanted a cookie. So I resolved to get her a tiny Oreo ice cream at Baskin Robbins.
