Prayers

To my sweetest Grumpy, my thoughts and prayers and love are with you and Gramma.

Get better please.

Hanging Out

Hanging out in mommy's big shoes...

Hanging out with the elephant statue at the zoo...

Hanging out at the pediatrician's office, reading to pass the time...

Hanging out with the coolest cousin ever...

Well, I'm pretty bummed that I can only upload two of the three videos I took! Blogger has a 100MB limit and the longest video is 136 (and, of course, it is the best of the three!). Anyhow, we haven't looked at this picture book in over a month and I was amazed at how much she remembers! In the missing video, she pointed out: gecko, iguana, wolf, fox, porcupine...it was incredible!

Anyhow, turn up your volume :)

I also had my first check up with Baby Rittmann #2 last week. It was waaaaay too early to see anything on the ultrasound (except to see that I ovulated from the right side ~ I could have told them that). They gave me a bunch of papers and took some blood and I go back on October 8th. I'll definitely be able to see our little man/lady then...and, of course, I'll let ya know what happens! As of today, I'm 4 weeks 6 days and feel pretty good. I get a little nauseous in the morning, I'm extremely sleepy, sugary food doesn't sound good (thank you Jesus!!), the potty breaks are picking up pace, and I'm bloated. Not too bad at all. We'll see if that's still the case in a few weeks...but it's all worth it, whatever the discomfort.

All Kinds of Stuff

Some photos from about a month ago at the Houston Children's Museum.

Last week, splashing in our new big-girl pool!

Learning about finger painting, sponge painting, and using a brush!

Wearing her new outfit, courtesy of the one and only MoMo!

Yep! She definitely looks more like daddy.

Today, Maddie and I went for her follow up renal scan but won't get to hear the results until next Tuesday. She now has all of her teeth (except for the two-year molars), can speak wonderfully, and is learning how to sing! She sings "Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star", "Row, Row, Row Your Boat", "Ring Around the Rosey" and other little songs that we hear on the TV. She has also learned several words in Chinese (thanks to Ni Hao Kai Lan)! Every day she learns something new; it is amazing to see! And she's getting so big that it's hard for me to carry her around these days. She's also been sassing me, screaming at me, and throwing lovely tantrums every now and again. It makes me a little angry, but she is just so dang CUTE that I can't stay mad for more than a second or two. Poor daddy may have to be the disciplinarian ~ I have trouble keeping a straight face!

The Circus, Some Cookies, and Donuts, Oh My!

Playing at the park, 'Big Girl' style.

I was cooking dinner and this is what I found when I realized she was being awefully quiet!

First pony-machine ride! She fussed when I ran out of quarters.

Maddie n' daddy at the Driskill in Austin, waiting for breakfast to arrive.

She's finally big enough to dance with her dancer 'Lady Frog'!

Maddie's first time at the circus! Checking out the painting elephant...

Enjoying great seats!

Making a fishie picture. She liked the jellyfish!

Making chocolate-chocolate chip cookies with mommy!

Getting ready to try one...

...I think she likes it!

Construction paper Princess!

Is it Santa??
Nope, it's Maddie ~ wearing her powdered donut.
