Girly-Girl

Still too little to get to wear princess dress-up shoes, Maddie improvises with her sparkly bracelets (yes, she even walks around wearing her "Bracelet Shoes"). They also do double duty as her "Cown" (crown) when she's feeling especially girly. Today, however, a headband will do :)

Big Girl

The couch is her new favorite place to be (well, besides her high chair when mommy's serving ice cream). This photo was taken while she was watching Wow Wow Wubbzy, her favorite show for the last few months. Barney is out of the loop for the time being. She's suddenly afraid of one of the characters. She's also afraid of the dark, of the moon, and of bugs. She's starting to use two-word sentences and is getting good at telling me what's on her mind. She is also growing like crazy. Almost all of her 18 month sized clothes are way too small, so it's time to buy 2T's. I even had to get her a size 6 shoe because her pudgy little feet are too wide to squish into a 5! I really need to take her to a good kids shoe store and have them measure her feet.

Her ear seems to be all healed, but we don't go back to make sure until the 16th. Her teeth are bothering her enough that she gets a little cranky off and on, but she's definitely feeling better than she has the last few weeks. Hopefully we won't have to go through that again for a while; she was absolutely miserable!
